The eyes are the most expressive feature on our face. When your eyes are bright and alert you appear well rested, energized and in control; however, when there is lower lid puffiness, dark circles or dropping upper lids others may assume that you are fatigued, angry or depressed. Blepharoplasty is a surgical procedure that can remove excess fat and drooping skin of the upper eyelids, minimize bags under the eyes and tighten the lower eyelids helping your eyes show your true expressions.
The incisions are placed in the natural crease of the upper eyelid and just below the lash line on the lower eyelids making them virtually undetectable. Patients will experience very little discomfort following a blepharoplasty surgery. Some swelling and bruising may last for a few days but normal activity may be resumed within a week of the procedure. A blepharoplasty can be performed separately or during other cosmetic procedures, such as a facelift.
During your private consultation our physician will examine your face and inform you o all possible options that will resolve the area of concern. The physician will also ask you about the specific concerns you may have with your face and go in to great detail on your expectations following your surgery. If you are a candidate for blepharoplasty surgery you will meet with the patient coordinator who will give you a price quote and schedule you procedure.
