Plastic Surgery Recovery

It’s Only A Matter of Time

At Alpine Plastic Surgery, we understand that no two patients are alike. The same goes for the cosmetic procedures we perform. While the recovery time for minor procedures lasts only a matter of hours, others may require a longer recovery time. Before we begin any cosmetic surgery, we’ll outline your expectations and the recovery process in a thorough consultation, but in the meantime we’ve outlined some basic recovery information for some of our most popular cosmetic procedures below.

Tummy Tuck

There will be some activity restrictions with each procedure for the first 6 weeks after surgery, with most patients taking 1 ½ to 2 weeks off work directly after the procedure.

Liposuction

Plan on taking a few days off of work after liposuction. You’ll also need to wear compression garments for 6 weeks.

Breast Enhancement

The recovery time from a breast enhancement procedure varies from patient to patient, but most can expect to miss about a week of work while they recover. There are also some activity restrictions for the first 6 weeks after the procedure.

Brachioplasty

Most patients take a week off of work after their brachioplasty. There are also some activity restrictions for the first 6 weeks after the procedure.

Rhinoplasty

Expect minimal discomfort and some bruising and/or swelling for the first couple of weeks after the procedure.

Botox/Dermal fillers

Some bruising or swelling is possible, but only for the first couple of days.
